My Dream House
My story starts at the beginning of the year 2023, long story short, I was in a horrible rental property and needed out ASAP! I was talking to my family, and they were like you should look into buying a house which sounded so scary to me. I was 25 years old and buying a house was just not something I thought I could do at that point in my life. I didn’t have a lot of money for a down payment or anything! Anyways I got in touch with the best realtor I knew, Gabriella DeAngelis, told her my situation and when I tell you she acted like it wasn’t a problem at all a wait lifted off my shoulders. A couple days later, I was approved by a lender. So that’s where my journey begins!
I looked at 3 houses and they were cute but walking in they just weren’t the house for me. At this point, I am STRESSING because I need out of my rental. I was feeling discouraged and Gabriella sent me a link one night and was like I think this could be the one for you! From the looks of it online, I was IN LOVE!! I couldn’t even sleep the night before because I was so excited to go see it. The moment I walked through the door of this house I knew it was the one! It was perfect for me! 3 bedroom, 2 bath, fenced in backyard, upstairs washer and dryer unit. I could go on and on about what made this house for me. I didn’t even make it to the kitchen before I told her I wanted to make an offer. Let me just say you know when you know and I immediately knew it was the one for me!
One reason I loved this house so much was that it was a blank canvas. The walls were all beige/tan with white molding and baseboards so I could do anything I wanted with it. I have loved design my whole life! My Meme and Mom are both interior designers and I have a bachelor’s degree in design. So, let’s just say this is where the fun begins!
This blog is my way of watching my creations come to life! By no means am I a minimalist! I do love the looks of minimalist design but I am a maximalist, dopamine queen! That’s exactly what my house represents. If that’s your vibe, welcome to my journey of creating my masterpiece of my dream home!
